New things have been added to the game, here's a brief summary: -Creature rename: Copperskin renamed to Coppercoat -Slightly nerfed the cooking xp of afkable fish like crayfish and swordfish while slightly buffed the cooking xp of harder to acquire fish -Lowered the chance of fish snapping the line when fishing with a rod -New skill Kingship: Govern a personal realm and boost the morale around you with a kingly presence. Jarvis at Immerbury helps players to travel to these remote locations -Easy creatures are now somewhat harder to train while the very hard ones somewhat easier. The change affects only creature growth levels. -New quest in a new area. -The inn keeper at Immerbury needs help attracting new customers. You can help by providing him with some food items -Increased the bank size -You may also find other smaller additions to the game as you play

Some changes have been added to the game: Miscellaneous: -Buffed the yield of highend arrow tips. (These were too hard to make in bulk before) -Nerfed the xp fletching unstrung bows, buffed the xp finishing the bow. (Incentivise players to finish the bow reinforcing interconnectedness with other skills) -Increased the price of complete bows. (boosting the profitability of fletching) -Increased the rate creature's dragonbreath recharges. This was too slow previously. -Minor tweaks to spells: Shadow ball now requires a clarity and a focus rune instead of a sharp rune. -Minor tweaks to gathering level requirements: Most notably seaweed requires now level 6 instead of level 22. Runecrafting: -Nerfed the yield and xp of runecrafting. -Made the runecrafting interaction proceed much faster. -Made all runecrafting recipes expend altar charges. -Capped the price for charges at level 64. -Adjusted the multiplier effect of secondaries to make them a better choice comparatively for both yield and xp.

This update brings the following changes: -Crafting xp nerf *Slightly decreased the amount of crafting xp when making staves out of logs *Slightly decreased the possible extra yield and xp when making molten glass -Buff on catching herring *the nets catch the fish faster now -Slightly increased the brightness during the night -Light source items give you now a little bit of melee accuracy when used during the night -2 new quests: Set in Stone and Masoner's Scheme -Some bug fixes -Minor visual tweaks -New spell: Spirit Walk (has great synergy with Firewalk) -Range and magic potions and their corresponding herbs *spoilers in comments where to get started -Skill cape feature: Activating the burst bar while wearing a skill cape now boosts the corresponding skill a little bit -Some crazy QoL: *You can now use shears on sheep to shear them

It is time again for another patch. This time the following things have been added: -QoL updates: * Auto-retaliate no longer interrupts current path. * Added option to always display drop texts. * When holding down shift all entities except drops are being ignored: This enables you to pick up items and navigate crowded areas through left clicking without starting unintended conversations or fights. -Password recovery feature has been added on the site: You can request a password reset if you registered your account with an email. -Sailing update: Cargo transportation *You can now train sailing by delivering goods with a cargo ship to different ports. *You can talk to a stevedore in a port and get assigned a task. *The following ports have cargo transport: Immerbury, Mossburgh, Gesterville, Kilewe village, Al Aljar, Jyveng and Felspar Valley. -New items for masonry training: *Durable sack for storing bricks. *Brick of Plenty to help you build more structures: This brick can be used many times for any kind of brick material. -New weapon: Vicious scythe that comes with a dangerous burst special attack. This weapon is dropped by a new boss. *Side note: Ordinary scythe shares the burst mechanic of this weapon. -There is a new boss in the game that can be summoned by solving a dungeon north of green dragons. *This boss is brutal, you have been warned. *A little bit like in the Christmas event, a new random outcome has been added to winning a trainer battle. *Also as a reminder: Trainer battles yield better xp for the creature compared to regular combat. -In addition to the items listed above you may encounter other new things in the game as you play.

Armour Tweaks

-The defensive bonuses provided by the jungle armour have been decreased, most notably the magic defence. Rationale: Jungle armour has been slightly too powerful compared to the other armour options and for its relatively low defence requirement. -Rework on life steal mechanic. Instead of a flat modifier now each worn armour piece (practically only grass type one) contributes by a specific amount to your ability of stealing life during combat. Grass typing also contributes to this attribute. -Other attributes such as burn, paralysis or freeze chance accumulate in a similar fashion. -Added the aforementioned attributes on the gear view.

This time the following changes have been added to the game: -Some of the sound effects have been tweaked and a few new ones have been added -Some visual tweaks -Further adjustments to combat: npcs that are less than half of your combat level generally will no longer be aggressive toward you -New spell: Telelogis *You can now teleport your cart to your current location. This spell has a cooldown. -Minor bug fixes Additionally, there is currently some old dude with a white beard visiting Immerbury.

The game client has received the following improvements: -The game music is now of higher quality. -Rendering optimizations: The client runs now slightly smoother. (The difference is easier to notice on slower machines) -Memory optimizations: The client takes now significantly less RAM to run. Additionally, the following changes have been added to the game: -Some miscellaneous bug fixes -Some QoL updates -A new item: Charge amulet. Offers currently the best melee bonuses but only works if you have metal typing -Minor balance tweaks to combat gear: Most notably removed the negative defence modifier from the vicious type -New chat functionality: Private messages and an ignore list: You can consult the /help command to learn more about these features

It is patch time again. -Further changes to combat: *Weapon speeds have been adjusted and heavier ones are now slightly slower *The armour piece now loses its type and the effects provided by the type when the item is at a degraded state *You need the smithing level required to make the weapon/armour in order to repair it *Factoring in the above changes the melee xp nerf of the previous patch has been reverted *To bypass the new smithing requirement for repair you can pay the artisan a nugget (A new somewhat rare item dropped by monsters) *2 new bolts for the crossbow *Slightly adjusted crossbow and longbow stats -Some new items and a couple of new trainer monsters *About half of the new gear items are rare loot from the pirate chest on the distant islands (These items are _rare_ so no reason to get upset if you don't get one immediately) *Note: a new grass type ring perishes once it degrades (which is acquired through other means) -Some graphical tweaks and updated models for some entities -Added GUI for emotes and a soundtrack player *You unlock now soundtracks as you explore the map -Miscellaneous bug fixes -QoL: *Mossburgh bank has now a quicker option to do business *Horse and cart path have been simplified (no longer requires a red click to path correctly) *You can skip a slayer task for 100k -The first quest has been renamed and the dialogue rewritten -2 new quests: *The Last Strikebreaker: You can start this quest by talking to guy named Scrooge in Mossburgh *Elf Awareness: Help Prince Ulyas in Téyen (Vaillerrithes) to end a stagnant war -Silver bird has now a slightly better flying stamina compared to the dragons -All boat types can now take a passenger

It is time for a game update! This time the following changes along with some other stuff have been added to the game: -The melee skills xp formula has been nerfed: You get now 3 times the xp per damage instead of 4. Rationale: Melee skills were by far the easiest in the game compared to the other skills and within that comparison not as big of an achievement getting to 99. -Trainer xp has been nerfed: You get less skill xp and slightly less creature xp as previously. Rationale: Trainer was also very easy to level up compared to the rest of the skills. -New quest: Shot in Translation *Guy named Alphonse needs your help in Mossburgh -New creatures *There is a new book that gets updated as you encounter creatures (including pre-existing ones) -Some creature rebalancing: A slight nerf to black dragon and a buff to green dragon (in their creature forms). The new creatures also contest the current top dogs neatly. Rationale: Black dragon used to be by a fair margin the most powerful creature in the game giving players little reason to use any other creature. *Removed wing attack from all the dragons *More informative descrpition on how the individual strength of a creature affects the stats when petting and minor tweaks to how the stats are defined in general. (The current top individuals stand unaffected comparatively but some of the other alternatives have been slightly buffed to increase variety and slightly decrease the gap between creature strengths) -The boss monsters have been made stronger Rationale: With the introduction of trainer the boss monsters became easier to defeat. Now with the addition of more powerful creatures this effect would be even more pronounced unless tweaked. -Many miscellaneous bug fixes -Some graphical tweaks: *Little bit of terrain blending added *Tweaks on some of the particle graphics -Capsules as the rest of Mapeldorn's stuff cost now trainer points instead of gold pieces *You can earn trainer points by challenging certain npcs to a creature battle *These trainers roam around the world map while a few of them are pre-existing npcs. -New game controls: *You can switch to your creature by pressing V *You can fast recall your creature by pressing B (This requires an empty capsule in your inventory) -There is a pit added in the Aljar desert for dueling. *You don't lose your items _except_ carried coins when dying. -Endurance level: Helps you run longer with extra weight. Determined by the highest level in either mining, woodcutting or farming.

Magic Tweaks

This patch brings a few tweaks to the magic skill as well as some general bug fixes to the game. -Same Type Attack Bonus: A pre-existing but so far a less significant magic only mechanic, Same Type Attack Bonus magnitude has been increased from 3 to 6 and its spell range to include all projectile spells. (Before it did not apply to secondary item requiring spells) Now if your type matches your selected spell you get up to 6 additional damage to your max hit. The bonus damage is determined by your magic level and it increases gradually as you level up. Example: Once unlocked at level 12 your Ember max hit to a neutral target is 7 but at level 96 it reaches 13. -Elemental Theory: An item you can buy from Mountain Wizard that gives 50% increase to your elemental staff magic accuracy. -Theurgy: A new prayer that will increase your spell max hit by 50% when your prayer points meet the magic level required for the projectile spell in use. -Some slight tweaks to the high-end staff stats.

It has been a while but there are some new things in the game now. This is a crude summary, you may find more stuff as you play. -2 new quests: *Tectonic Difficulties: Jesaril is having difficulties getting his device to work *The Drowned Gull: A sailor in the Black Dragon Inn is trying to move on with a past incident -More fishing spots and a new fish: Tuna -Yield of sliced herring has been improved -Salads can be now made by an intermediate item: mixed greens, also a new food added: Supreme Fish Salad -Some miscellaneous engine tweaks -Bug fixes -New spells: Some of these require you to complete additional steps to first learn them. -Some new sailing related locations, making your boat a bit more relevant now -Trainer xp nerf: The skill xp from combat has been slightly nerfed - Some tweaking on weapon stats: * Most weapons are now 1 unit slower to slow the pace of combat a tiny bit. This difference amounts to 0.1s. -Elemental staves now equal in their magic accuracy -Type rename: Sacred -> serene, demon -> vicious -Type change: Vicious type has the same type mechanics as serene but mirrored: Neutral against everything except effective against serene while also being weak to it. -About the vicious type: Does not have a stacking bonus but makes you faster with heavier weapons and gives you a 12.5% bonus to your physical offensive stats in the expense of lowering your physical defensive stats by the same amount. There is a single vicious typed item in the game that is the Jyveng warrior's cuirass. It is something the Jyveng people might know about. -New area: Jyveng village

About Lobster Traps

It came to knowledge yesterday that lobster traps are a much better option for healing than had been previously thought. A caught lobster trap is a single slot item that resolves to 1-6 raw lobsters when opened. This does not seem that interesting first but when you take into consideration the fact that you can take a full inventory and a handcart of these to a remote training or bossing location, things get more skewed. With 20 traps in the inventory and 50 in your handcart for instance, you could carry 70 * ~3 = ~210 raw lobsters which are then fairly easy to turn into food with some simple firemaking supplies. This high amount of carriable food is out of proportion when it compares to other healing options. To address this, first two simple changes were added to the game: -Now unopened lobster traps cannot be stored anywhere else than bank or inventory. -Lobster traps are a lot heavier than before, weighing now 7 kg each to disincentivize carrying them around casually. Note: *The weight change will take some time before the number shows in the stat menu of the client. *The lobster traps might still need some tweaking for how they work for healing tamed dragons. The added weight of the traps should factor in somewhat though already. Thanks to Fight for finding this
